Your Role - Come Join Our Team!

Position Summary:

The Head of Editorial will lead Actabl’s thought leadership strategy, leveraging our data, insights, and industry expertise to establish Actabl as the most trusted and indispensable technology partner in hospitality. This role is responsible for shaping Actabl’s voice in the market, driving engagement through high-quality, insight-driven content that builds credibility and accelerates the adoption of Actabl’s solutions.

The ideal candidate is a strategic storyteller with a strong editorial background, an ability to distill complex data into compelling narratives, and a proven track record in B2B content marketing, journalism, or thought leadership. They will work cross-functionally with internal leaders, customers, and industry influencers to create and distribute content that influences key decision-makers in hospitality.

Essential Duties:

Thought Leadership & Content Strategy

  • Develop and execute a multi-channel thought leadership strategy to elevate Actabl’s brand and influence in the hospitality industry.
  • Create and manage Actabl’s editorial calendar, ensuring alignment with business priorities and market trends.
  • Leverage customer conversations, Actabl’s data, and industry insights to craft compelling, data-driven content.
  • Oversee editorial quality, ensuring all content aligns with Actabl’s positioning, messaging, and growth objectives.

Data-Driven Storytelling

  • Build a structured program to translate Actabl’s data into actionable insights for hotel owners and operators.
  • Develop reports, articles, and other content that answer critical industry questions such as “How are properties like mine performing?” and “What do top-performing hotels do differently?”

Executive & Brand Positioning

  • Establish Actabl’s leadership team as trusted industry voices through interviews, op-eds, and high-impact industry publications.
  • Drive engagement by amplifying content across channels.
  • Manage relationships with key media, industry influencers, and event organizers to maximize Actabl’s visibility.

Content Development & Distribution

  • Lead the creation of high-impact content across multiple formats, including blog posts, LinkedIn articles, reports, podcasts, and video interviews.
  • Collaborate with internal experts (e.g., CEO, CRO, President, and former GMs on staff) to transform their expertise into engaging, digestible content.
  • Repurpose insights across digital platforms (Actabl.com, HospitalityNet, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc.) for maximum reach.

Performance Measurement & Optimization

  • Track key engagement metrics, including views, shares, comments, and downloads, to measure content impact.
  • Continuously optimize content strategy based on performance data, the media landscape, and industry trends.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in editorial, content marketing, journalism, or thought leadership, preferably in B2B SaaS or hospitality.
  • Proven ability to turn complex data into compelling, insight-driven narratives.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills with a strong portfolio of published content.
  • Experience collaborating with executives and subject matter experts to create authoritative content.
  • Strong understanding of content distribution strategies across owned, earned, and paid channels.
  • Familiarity with SEO best practices and content analytics tools.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Work Environment:

  • This is a hybrid position, allowing for flexibility in work location. The role requires a reliable internet connection and a suitable home office setup to ensure productivity and effective communication.
  • Travel: Occasional travel may be required for team meetings, conferences, or training sessions. This could include both in-state and out-of-state travel.
  • Driver’s License: A valid driver’s license may be required for travel purposes.

Salary Description
120,000 - 160,000
