Job Description

This is an incredible opportunity to join one of the leaders in transportation and logistics and build the future of freight. We are looking for an exceptional Product Manager to join our team and make an immediate impact.

You will own the development of our integrated platform and mobile app, working closely with our executive, engineering, marketing, sales, and operations teams and reporting to C-Suite. This role is a once-in-a-career opportunity to not only develop a product, but build an enduring organization around it. You will play a leading role in defining our vision and roadmap, drive our product development process, and seek continuous improvement by understanding and building around customer needs and feedback. We’re a fast-moving tight team and are looking for someone scrappy, eager, and ready to dive in - while providing you with support, coaching, and incredible opportunities.


  • Play at the nexus of the business, our customers’ needs, and development team to lead product vision, development and execution of current and new initiatives and features

  • Work cross functionally with engineering, design, customer success, sales, onboarding and other teams to build out our solutions and bring them to market. Break down large projects into milestones, make trade-off decisions and get buy-in from cross-functional teams

  • Develop and communicate product vision, requirements and constraints for initiatives and releases to senior management and various stakeholders

  • Create Market Requirements Documents and Product Requirements Documents with priority listed and justification. Define KPIs for each of the major releases and track them through the life of that product

  • Quarterback and prioritize development requests from engineering, marketing, partnerships, customer success, and customers. Lead sprint planning, clearly write user epics and stores, and groom and manage the product backlog

  • Collect and analyze quantitative and qualitative data and user insights, including managing our customer advisory board comprised of Fortune 1000 freight brokers

  • Understand industry and customer trends to inform development and become a thought leader on the future of our markets

Experience and Qualifications

  • 4-year bachelor’s degree

  • Minimum 2 years of product-related work experience

  • Experience working with legacy product with internal development team

  • Understanding of data architecture and warehousing; ability to access and analyze data using SQL, Excel, etc.

  • Proven record of being a data centric decision maker

  • Strong customer interviewing, customer development and need finding experience

  • Experience building full solutions, not just features

  • SaaS and/or freight tech experience a plus

  • Experience prototyping, building wireframes a plus

Other Information

  • Location: Trucker Tools is a 100% remote company; Chicago or Washington DC is a plus. Travel to team offsites expected 2-4 times per year; additional travel on an as-needed basis
